5 Ways to Improve Your Bladder - Dream to Sleep with Tena Lady

2 May 2018

The lovely people at Tena recently sent me a Dream to Sleep package to try and improve my sleep and record my dreams. Inside was a luxury Dream to Sleep item from Thisworks containing Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and Night Oil, a dream book, journal and beautiful dream catcher.

As women we face many challenges on our journey through life, from puberty through to child birth and then the dreaded menopause they all have a huge impact on the strength of our bladder. My bladder has really been through the mill, 4 children, a total hysterectomy and spinal surgery have all played their part in weakening my bladder.  No longer can I go all night without jumping out of bed and dashing to the loo, in fact I probably look like a mad woman with the urgency I need to go.

Bladder problems tend not to be talked about openly but weakness from the menopause due to hormonal changes can have a huge impact on a woman's life. There are lots of ways to help improve bladder problems and often changes in your lifestyle can help.  Below are a few ways:
  1. Kegal exercises - strengthen that pelvic floor, by clenching those invisible muscles it will help and the best thing is nobody need know you are actually doing them.
  2. Drink less tea and coffee - these can irritate the bladder.
  3. Drink lots of water.
  4. Cut down on spicy food.
  5. Avoid heavy lifting.

With the help of Tena Lady maxi night you can be ensured of a good night's sleep with 3 times the protection from leaks and odours. The body shaped pads are discreet and comfortable meaning you have one less thing to worry about. If you are having problems with your bladder then please discuss with your GP or Practice Nurse as soon as possible, there is so much you can do to help the situation.

I was sent these items free of charge for the purpose of this review.

  9. I love that you're raising this. It's more common than people imagine, isn't it? And like everything unspoken, it would help so many if we talked about it more.
