Sporting Events to Consider Whilst Travelling

29 December 2017

Have you ever considered booking a holiday around a sporting event that you would love to go to? There are so many options to choose from including weekends or full weeks with itineraries to specific . Whether you enjoy the thrills of motor sport or the exhilaration of horse racing, rugby or football, below are a few on my wish list to attend.

Monaco Grand Prix
Top of my list is to visit Monaco and attend the glamorous Monaco Grand Prix. Monaco is the second smallest independent state well known for its royals and port filled with expensive yachts. The Grand Prix is set around the streets of Monaco with some hotels offering exhilarating views of the race from your own balcony. I can picture myself now, relaxing in the warm sunshine, cocktail in hand listening to the roar of the engines as they literally fly past.

Cricket - The Ashes
I know I am a bit late for The Ashes this year but travelling to Australia to watch the Aussies on their own turf would be amazing. Undoubtedly this year has been a bit of a white wash for the England team but here is to better luck next time.

Rugby Tours
If you don't like standing on the side line, how about joining a rugby tour with sporting friends? Rugby Tours tournaments are held in various countries and complete packages are available with accommodation, travel, excursions etc. Just make sure you have adequate insurance in case of injuries, rugby can be a tough sport.

World Cup
In 2018 the World Cup will be held in Russia in 12 different venues. It would be fabulous to live the atmosphere of one of the top England games along with a stay in Moscow to see the Kremlin, enjoy a boat ride down the Moskva river and take in the sights of the Red Square at night. I am told it is spectacular.

There are so many events I would like to see in England to, Wimbledon, Ladies Day at Ascot and the Grand Prix at Silverstone to name a few. Are there any events you would particularly like to see?
