The kind people at Trutex recently sent her some school uniform to try out, but what with her OCD tendancies, I was unsure how she would react regarding the textures, fastenings and feel of the fabrics. Trutex are the leading brand in school uniform and have been providing quality clothes for the last 150 years. As you can see from the photograph she was quite happy to wear them, much to my relief.
The Junior Stitch Down Pleat Skirt in Harrow Grey, made with polyester and viscose, this can be washed at 40 degrees, which is ideal as a lot of clothes have a 40 degree washing cycle. The fit is perfect, I always buy a size smaller for Grotbags due to her being so tiny but the tailoring of this skirt is lovely. The waist can be altered with the elastic waistband at the back and the pleats are half sewn in. It really looks great on and is such good quality.
Easy Care Short Sleeve Summer Blouses are available in packs of two and are made in polyester cotton, these can also be washed at 40 degrees and super easy to iron after having a whirl in the tumble dryer. Grotbags loved these, they feel so soft against the skin and will keep her cool in the winter months in school when the heating is on.
The Sweat Cardigan which is also available in 15 different colours is also made from polyester cotton and can be washed at 40 degrees. The seams and buttons are sewn very well and the item is neatly finished. I found the sizing to be quite generous, although this might be because Grotbags is small for her age.
Now we are all set for next week and hopefully she will enjoy her last year at primary school.
We were kindly sent these items free of charge for the purpose of this review but the opinin is our own.

ReplyDeleteI've never actually heard of this brand before and I've been buying school uniform for 10 years now. This is probably my most hated time of the year as my daughter waits until the last second before trying items on so it's always a mad rush to change things.
ReplyDeleteThese look great. I haven't heard of this brand until recently but I think I will keep them in mind for when my daughter starts school

I have seen quite a few posts on Trutex and I have read a lot of reviews about their clothing. It is a clothing brand I would consider next year for school clothes when Max starts school. Thank you for sharing.
