Bright futures

11 June 2012

The last 5 months have been quite sad for us as a family, my other half has lost his godfather through a sudden death and then his godmother 4 months later through cancer. We seem to have been at a funeral every month and my other half also lost a close friend through suicide. We have had a really sad start to 2012.

This has made us think about what would happen if we lost each other and/or if anything should happen to both of us, after all we have Grotbags to consider and both our boys from previous marriages. I had Grotbags later in life and therefore think it is even more important to put plans in place should anything untoward happen.  We definitely need to organise a will and life insurance just in case anything should happen.  I know that this would not take away the grieving or suffering but at least money would not be a worry and there are still bills and family to think off.

There is still so much we want to do with our lives now that we are in our late 40's and hopefully we will live to reach a ripe old age.  Afterall I have a long list of things I want to do before I retire and hopefully an even longer one for when we have retired.
