Creating a Calm Environment With Photowall

30 January 2018

As most of you are probably aware, Gee has been experiencing a few problems of late and is awaiting a diagnosis for ASD. One of the most prominent areas we needed to change for her, is her bedroom. Gee finds it very difficult to switch off when it comes to bedtime and often experiences meltdowns as her mind tries to make sense of all the things going around in her head and with this in mind I wanted to create a calm, natural environment to help her.

Photowall are a Swedish company who share a passion for creating environmentally friendly wall murals, canvas prints and motifs. They offer a huge range to choose from, all which can be customised to the size you desire. The ordering process is simple, you just need to provide the required measurements and your chosen design, leaving the rest to them.

Gee trawled through the bountiful array of murals and chose the Last Emperor in bronze which depicts woodland and blackbirds carrying novelty charms. It really is as gorgeous as it looks, you actually feel like you are out in the countryside. The only problem I found was that Gee found it really difficult to pick the one she liked the most, as there are so many choices.

Delivery and updates on the progress of your order are sent to your email on a regular basis so that you are kept in the loop every step of the way. Our package arrived well protected and packaged after its journey from Sweden. Included in your order is the wallpaper paste and you can choose whether or not you would like to include the hanging kit. Simple instructions are included in your pack, these are easy to follow.

The paper is in individual strips which are numbered and should be hung from left to right. It is useful to have a plumb line for the first piece, this will ensure the paper is hung straight and as with some other papers you actually paste the wall and then apply the paper. I must say that the paper is really good quality and lining it up was no problem and by following the easy to read instructions provided it was completed in a day. (If only the rest of the bedroom was that easy to transform).

The finished result is beautiful, Gee is over the moon with her Photowall and she is busy helping me to design the rest of her bedroom. It is so exciting seeing it come together and then we can share the end result in a grand finale.

I would definitely use Photowall again, the quality of the mural we received is beautiful and their customer service is outstanding.

I was sent this item free of charge for the purpose of this review but the opinion is entirely our own.
