What's New in April

It as been a while since I updated my What's New posts but this last month I have been on the hunt for some items that I hope will really appeal to my readers and will also be useful.

Delicious New Flavour from Shaken Udder
Shaken Udder have released a fabulously fruity new flavour  that will remind you of the long summer days whilst enjoying Wimbledon.  The new Strawberries and Clotted Cream milk shake is a must, bursting with fruitiness and deliciously creamy I have to admit it is one of my favourites yet. You can find out more information at Shaken Udder and the milkshakes can be bought from Waitrose, Tesco and Ocado.

Stunning Diffusers from Landon Tyler
If like me you like the luxury of aromas then the diffusers from Landon Tyler will be a firm favourite.  They come in a variety of scents such as Vintage Blooms, Country Meadow, Dark Cashmere to name a few but my favourite is the Pink Cashmere, a sensual fragrance combining Jasmine, Amber, Patchouli and Musk to leave your room smelling divine. Landon Tyler also sell a range of candles and gift sets which make the perfect present.  You can buy Landon Tyler products from Boots and other stockists.

If you need a bit of energy - Pow Water
POW is a sparkling natural energy water that is created as a healthier natural alternative to existing energy drinks. Based out of Dorset on the south coast they are a small independent company and have recently launched it Boots stores. So if you are looking for a  natural burst of energy and don't want to take on loads of sugar or artificial ingredients then this is the water for you.  Containing Guarana, Ginseng, Vitamin B and natural sugars, POW lightly sparkling water is available in 3 yummy flavours, cranberry and apple, citrus and zest and my favourite coconut and lime.

An interesting read - Tragic Shores
Written by acclaimed novelist Thomas H Cook this book is an enthralling story of his travels to rarely visited destinations along with his wife and daughter.  From watching the pilgrimage of hopeful people at the healing spring in Lourdes to a treacherous cliff side descent to the leper colony in Kalaupapa in Hawaii it is a beautifully written captivating book which we draw you in to his travels. It is available from the 4th April.

Something tasty - Peter's Yard Sourdough Crispbread Bites
Peter's Yard have released the new and tasty Sourdough Crispbread Bites which are perfect for using with dips. Made from natural ingredients they are high and fibre, low in fat and are made with all natural ingredients. For those long country walks - Bridgedale Junior MerinoFusion Hiking Socks
I had been looking for some comfy sock for Gee for a while and these junior hiking socks from Bridgedale are just the thing for playtime out in the fields as well as walking.  Containing merino wool they are super soft and comfy and fit perfectly on little feet. I thoroughly recommend these for any active child as Gee wears them all the time when she is playing and is always asking if I have washed them so that she can wear them again. Priced at £7.99 they are a bargain.

For sore eyes - Skin Shop Dry Eye Gel
It is coming to the time of the year when hayfever suffers can have sore eyes. The skin around the eyes can become dry, itchy and inflamed if you rub them. The Skin Shop Dry Eye Gel is a light natural gel containing cardiospurmum which has an anti inflammatory effect on the skin helping to soothe sore skin around the eyes. It is always handy to have a tube of Dry Eye Gel on standby should this happen. Priced at £7.95 it is available from the Skin Shop.

Beauty Treats - Lacura Icellage Range at Aldi
The eagerly awaited launch of the Lacura Icellage Range at Aldi is now here.  Launched online on the 23rd March, this range is now available in store.  I am such a huge fan of Lacura face products
and was eager to try out this new range. Lacura Icellage offers skin defence against environmental stress and counteracts the signs of ageing by improving skin fatigue, dullness and dryness which creates more resilient and younger looking skin. There are 4 products available, eye gel priced at £5.99, serum priced at £6.99, day cream £6.99 and night cream £6.99. All are designed to help combat the signs of aging.  The Icellage Range is a limited edition and luxurious skincare for women aged 35 and over.  So you will probably want to know is it any good? Well I have been using it for the past 2 weeks and I can honestly say it is just as good as some high end products that I had been using.  A big thumbs up from me.

Look after your feet - New Superdrug Range of Foot Care Products
Superdrug have introduced their new Poron foot care range to give you some added comfort. Insoles that can help to prevent blisters and calluses forming by preventing the foot from sliding in the shoe. Heel cushions to protect from slipping and rubbing and Sore Spots which can be placed anywhere in the shoe if there is a chance of rubbing. The Poron products will not break down and will ensure you have continuous comfort for your tired feet. Prices vary from around £3.95 - £6.25 which is a small price to pay for comfortable feet.
