Mother's Day Gift Ideas

3 March 2017

I cannot believe how time is flying this year. It does not seem that long ago since we were unwrapping Christmas presents.  But it is nearly time for my favourite day of the year, the day when we celebrate being a Mum or cherishing our own Mothers for all their hard work throughout the years. Obviously we should always remember them, but I like to make an extra effort on Mother's Day just to show how much I appreciate my Mum.

I have come up with some lovely ideas for presents if you need some inspiration.

For the Tea Lover - Oteas Fruit Teas
Oteas teas are perfect for the fruit tea lover or an alternative for the tea drinker.  Oteas Limited was founded in 2014 and provide an extensive range of flavours to compliment every taste. Gift sets are available and come complete with double walled glass teaware, perfect for enjoying your refreshing Oteas tea from. The glass mug and 12 variety teas costs £14.95 and is available online.

For the Lady who loves Bags
Whilst trawling the internet for ideas I came across this gorgeous Joules Tourer Bright Cross Body Bag on the Amara Living website.  I just love the bright blue colour, perfect to add a splash of colour to your Spring outfits and it has handy pockets to store essentials such as your mobile phone.  Priced at £40 you can buy it on the Amara Living website.

For the Jewellery Lover
Also on the Amara Living website were these adorable sterling silver owl earrings with Swarovski light rose crystal eyes from Orla Keily.  Priced at £50 I would definitely have to purchase these. They would make a perfect Mother's Day present. The Amara Living website is such a great place for inspiration and beautiful gifts.

For the Lady with a Sweet Tooth
Posh Choc Nibbles are delicious milk chocolate, caramel pieces dusted with icing sugar and coated with milk chocolate. I have tried these and can vouch for their great taste, they cost £1 and are available from B&M. Great as a little extra treat.

For the Business Mum
I wear a lanyard every day for work and came across the Maisie Jane website. They bring to you a fresh approach to wearing your door entry pass in a unique piece of jewellery. The jewellery lanyard is equipped with a safety mechanism to HSE guidelines and the badge holder can easily be removed to covert your necklace in to night wear for going out.  Priced at £12.50 I think they would make a great addition to a work outfit.

For the Mum who loves a pamper
Or how about spending some time at Ragdale Hall on a Clarins Mum and Me Time day, the cost is £249 for two and is available until September.  The day starts at 9am and goes on until 6pm.  Included in the day is a 40 minute Clarins facial, a skincare consultation, a three course buffet lunch, use of all the facilities at Ragdale Hall including the Thermal Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, gym, exercise and relaxation classes.  The perfect way to spend some quality time with your mum.

For the Perfect Mother's Day Tipple
British Cassis is a blackcurrant liqueur from Herefordshire and is wonderful added to prosecco and champagne to make a delicious Kir Royale or can be drank as it is over ice. What better way to round off Mother's Day than with something really special and delicious.  British Cassis costs around £20 for a 500ml bottle and is available online and in stores nationwide.

Well I hope you like some of my ideas and to be honest I would be happy with any of them or even just a few hours of my children's company.  Have you come across any lovely gifts this year?

I was sent some of these items for the purpose of this post but the opinion is entirely my own.
