Recently we were set the challenge of reviewing the service provided by Wicked Uncle. If you don’t know, Wicked Uncle is a website that will help you to choose a present for children in a couple of easy steps, perfect for Aunts, Uncles and other relatives who are not sure what to buy. Once on their website you can select the child’s gender and age and the search will bring up presents that they think are relevant for that child.
I asked Gee to try the website out to see what she thought of the presents it chose for a girl of her age. Straightaway she found lots of items that she would like to own and with a £40 voucher gifted to her, she chose the below.
Crystal Creation – Grow Sparkling Crystals £22.95
Gee loves experimenting and creating things so I knew this would be a winner with her. This science kit shows you how to make crystals in different shapes and sizes and includes exciting experiments. Such great fun and Gee really enjoyed this item. Please note you need to buy plaster of paris separately as this is not included.
Horses Bum Bag – Mily Green £17.95
With Gee’s love of everything equestrian this cute bum bag in a water resistant material is perfect when she goes out horse riding and I feel a lot happier knowing that she has her phone with her just in case of an emergency. This product is so well made and has two useful pockets for carrying personal belongings.
Considering she chose her own presents, she was very happy with her purchases, but when asked if she would have liked other things, Gee thought there was plenty of choice and she would not have been disappointed with any of the gifts for her age group. I must say we did look at the year above and below and we believe that some of these presents were suitable too.
Delivery was super speedy and I love the fact that you receive a post card in with the presents addressed to the gift buyer thanking them for their present, a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who is unsure what to buy a child.
We were sent these products free of charge for the purpose of this review but the opinion is entirely our own.
