Laundry Tip and Laundry Baskets

I literally must spend 8 hours a week sorting out washing and whilst we no longer have to stand over the good old fashioned twintub, I do find it time consuming, especially waiting for the washer to finish.

It also amazes me how that odd rogue sock intermingles with the white load you have just put on to wash. How many times has this happened to you? All you end up with is murky coloured whites or even vibrant pink ones. Well this happened to me on a regular basis, that was until I acquired two laundry baskets. My family are now under strict instructions to put whites in one basket and colours in the other and yes, I have had fewer accidents, but the same rogue sock still manages to make an appearance occasionally.

The House of Fraser have some lovely laundry baskets and I was recently sent a Gray and Willow woven basket. The basket features a stitched stripe design with rope handles and is cream and grey in colour. I love the fact that this basket is lightweight and easy to carry and looks so much more stylish than a plastic basket. Of course, there are many other fabulous designs to choose from, laundry baskets do not have to be boring.

I was sent this item free of charge for the purpose of this review but the opinion is my own.

  2. Those baskets look absolutely lovely! I do love wicker ones. We also have a large wicker laundry basket in our bathroom that's always full, especially since the weather has been really bad lately.

  6. This is a brilliant idea! I'm like the worst person to do laundry... my pile would get sky high before I do any. Part of it is because I hate sorting them so this may make it a bit easier for me to get my laundry act together lol
