Outdoor Fun in the Snow

I love these snowy Sunday mornings, everywhere looks so pretty with the fresh dusting of snow and with our new addition in the family walks seem so much more fun.  It also means that Gee does not feel quite so lonely, not having siblings to play with can be hard at times and she now has a new found friend to explore the rocks and fields.

I had forgotten how much I loved having a dog in the family and I never thought for one minute that Marlow would take away the pain of losing my german shepherd all those years ago.  Whilst I still miss her terribly, Marlow has brought some much needed love back in to my life.

His first experience of snow, you just can't help but adore those big floppy ears and his enthusiasm for the cold weather.

The Peak District really is stunning every day of the year but especially when there is snow.  There is nothing more perfect than putting on your walking boots and getting outdoors.

And when it is time to go home there is nothing better than cuddling up next to Gee in a blanket to get warm, after all he is still a baby.

I am linking up with Fiona from Coombemill who runs a weekly post called #countrykids.

  1. Oh my goodness, you guys sure did get loads of snow! Love the photos. It doesn't snow down where we live in Cornwall. Had to drive to Dartmoor for my daughter to experience it. So worth it though :) #countrykids

  2. I must say I'm a little jealous of how white it is around you, it's beautiful seeing those wintry views. Marlow looks like he's settling into your little family perfectly and will definitely be the perfect playmate for your daughter. She looks like she's enjoying her new pet's company! Thanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids.

  3. Love watching dogs play with snow for the first time, they seem to love it as much as the kids

  4. The Peak District is so stunning! Gee is such a beautiful dog. Looks like your girl and Gee all had a wonderful time. x #CountryKids
