Epson EcoTank ET-2500 Review

Last week I received a most welcome email asking me if I would like to review a Epson EcoTank All in One printer/scanner/photocopier, now seeing as my old one is about on it’s last legs and I am due to start my degree next month, this could not have arrived at a better time.

Before I opened the box I was slightly concerned about the size of machine and where it would fit in the house, this was unnecessary as it is quite compact and fits quite easily in the corner of the room.  Setting up the machine was really easy by following the clear guidelines and disc that was supplied

The Epson EcoTank ET-2500 with MicroPiezo inkjet technology is one of five  new models that is supplied with approximately 2 years worth of ink included in the box.   Low cost printing plus no empty cartridges to dispose of are added benefits of owning this printer.  I cannot think of anything worse than starting to print a large document and running out of ink half way through, often my daughter has sent reams of internet pages to the printer wasting the ink that we had.  The ink supplied can print up to 4000 black or 6500 colour pages which is the same as about 20 ink cartridge sets and can save you around 70% of the cost.

With built in WiFi you can easily print from your desktop PC, laptop, IPad or even your phone by downloading the Epson App, so if you have tickets to print, this comes in really useful.  A flatbed scanner and copier are also useful features of this device allowing you to scan to your PC, Cloud or your email, you can also reduce and enlarge image sizes with the copy feature.

The machine is not overly noisy and print quality is good although I haven't tried printing photographs as yet.  I do love the simplicity of this machine and although it costs around £229.99 I definitely think it is good value for money.

I was sent this product free of charge for the purpose of this review.
