Recently the Bodyshop launched a new skincare range called the Oils of Life, now upon hearing the word oil I was rather dubious as my skin tends to have a T-zone which is quite greasy, with the rest of my face being dry and suffering from climate conditions combine these factors with ageing skin and I defnitely need extra help.
Oils of Life contain three types of seed oil, black cumin from Eygpt, camellia from China and Rosehip from Chile which creates a lightweight oil that can be used daily. I love Bodyshop products as they are purely natural and not tested on animals which means I am far more likely to buy them. I was sent the following to try for a few weeks to see if my skin benefited from Oils of Life.
Oils of Life - Intensely Revitalising Cream
This cream is so rich and silky without being greasy. I applied this in a morning and evening after the facial oil and my skin felt instantly hydrated, the smell is gorgeous and I found it had an uplifting effect on my mood rather like aromatherapy oil. After a couple of weeks of using this product in combination with the other products I received my skin does look more luminous. The cream is priced at £25 for a 50ml pot which is not overly cheap but I would stress that a little goes along way making it very economical.
Oils of Life - Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil
I could have cringed at the thought of putting an oil on my T-zone but I tried this facial oil anyway and I am so surprised at the result, it only takes 3 drops of oil to smooth over your face and neck. Like the cream it has a wonderful smell that you will either love or hate, fortunately for me I do love it. This oil soaks in to your skin without leaving any sticky or greasy residue and leaving your skin feeling instantly hydrated. I have only been using the oil on my skin at night for fear of oil overdose and I am so surprised I haven't broken on in spots. The facial oil is priced at £28 for 30mls
Oils of Life - Intensely Revitalising Essence Lotion
With the same great smell as the other items in this range I have loved using this product in a morning after cleansing and before I applied the cream. The lotion feels a lot lighter than the oil and costs £15 for 150ml.
My conclusion is so easy to write, I love the products and would definitely recommend to any of my friends. The Oils of Life range has had a huge impact on my maturing skin, it feels so much brighter and plumper and whilst I will never look 21 years old again I can help my skin by having a good facial care regime. Compared to the big name products I was previously using, this would save me quite alot of money and still provide me with good results. Fantastic products which are kind on animals too.
I was sent these items free of charge for the purpose of this review but the opinion is entirely my own.
