Handmade by Helen

Today on my new page I would like to introduce Handmade By Helen.  Helen runs a very small crafting business and fits crafting in around working full time and around her two young children, who keep her on her toes. She makes and sells greeting cards, pop-up cards, 'exploding' boxes, quilled pictures and kusudama (a type of origami flower) decoration.   Helen says she "basically loves to work with paper, scissors, glue and lots of imagination"!

Helen accepts commissions for cards (all of which can be personalised), quilled pictures and various other items, as well as selling at local craft fairs and online. She recently made a framed decoupaged picture for a friend's wedding anniversary, which included a rollercoaster, camper van and various other items.

Helen has been crafting since she was a Brownie, encouraged by her mum, and can't pass a craft shop without looking at paper and card! She became more involved in crafting whilst on maternity leave with her daughter and this has grown into what she can now proudly call a small business.

You can find Helen's lovely items on the following links.

Helen has offered one of my readers the chance of winning a framed quilled ballerina of which they can choose the colour scheme.  Please complete the Gleam form below and good luck.
