Tilda Steamed Basmati Rice




Recently we received a selection of Tilda Steamed Basmati Rices to sample and I must say how easy it is to cook, two minutes in the microwave and you have delicious rice ready to eat. I work full time and commute two hours everyday so I appreciate any help no matter how small in helping me achieve a fulfilling meal every night.

Tilda do 18 different varieties of basmati rice including pure basmati, coconut chilli and lemongrass, egg fried, mushroom, roasted pepper and courgette and sweet chilli and lime.

I visited the Tilda website and decided to try out one of their quick and easy recipes below.

Indian Style Recipe
1 pack of Tilda Pure Basmati Rice
1 red and yellow pepper
1 onion
Red chilli
Chopped mint
Small pack of cooked chicken tikka
Natural yoghurt

1. Dice the peppers, onion and chilli and fry gently in a little oil until soft.
2. Add the cooked chicken tikka and heat through thoroughly.
3. Stir in the cooked rice and serve with the natural yoghurt dressing.

This meal took me 10 minutes to make from start to finish and I was sat down helping Grotbags with her homework in no time at all. I love Tilda rice, it is soft and fluffy and just so easy to cook, no messing about with pans and I am all for anything that makes my day go smoother.
